My nurse practitioner (Ms. Azam Moore) and I are both patient-centered and spend much time in explaining and sorting out the causes of problems and encouraging/empowering patients to make their own decisions."

Dr. Kochenburger always strives to be on the "cutting edge" of the latest medical knowledge and surgical techniques. With a conservative approach towards recommending surgery, Dr. Kochenburger offers such new technology as the Essure sterilization procedure, Novasure endometrial ablation to conservatively treat heavy periods, laparoscopic hysterectomy, operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and the Bard Transobturator tape for treatment of stress urinary incontinence.
As a solo practitioner, Dr. Kochenburger is able to forge strong relationships with his expectant mothers and attends approximately 85-90% of his Alta Bates Medical Center births. Pregnancy and childbirth are viewed as a "natural and healthy life passage" and not as a "medical event".
*Dr. Kochenburger also offers economical Botox treatment to alleviate upper facial wrinkles and Restylane treatment to ameliorate lower facial wrinkles.
